Patterson Lakes is so central to many things that you can do and enjoy. 

These apartments are only minutes away from the beautiful Carrum Beach. This beach is a beautiful, long and sandy beach that is perfect for fishing, boating and swimming.  Even if you don't like to get your toes wet, enjoy a stroll along and take in the atmosphere - Absolutely beautiful.  There are adjoining reserves with plenty of parking and picnic facilities - why not pack a picnic lunch and have a bottle of champagne on the beachside.  You can walk to the beach from the apartments, which is a lovely, easy walk or bring your bikes as there are plenty of bike tracks.

While your staying, make sure you go for  a drive along the Mornington Peninsula beginning with Frankston.  There are 10kms of pristine beaches and coastal habitat.  And the Frankston Pier is well worth a visit. Grab an ice-cream and take a stroll. The water is crystal clear.

The drive is absolutely beautiful and then come back and relax !!!

There are local historic homesteads, where you may want to go back in time.  There is Ballam Park Homestead or you can go on a guided tour at Mullberry Hill Homestead - call 03 5971 4138.  While your out and about, don't forget to visit the many parks, gardens, reserves and wineries throughout the area. 

You can also go for a beautiful scenic drive to the Beautiful Dandenong Ranges and National Parks (for information call 03 9784 1888).  If you've brought the children along - don't forget to visit Puffing Billy in Emerald (The Dandenongs).  It is only 45mins away.

Along your drive on the Mornington Peninsula, make sure you stop and have a coffee at the Manyung Gallery & Restuarant in Mt Eliza.  They offer affordable paintings and sculptures, and are situated in a beautiful Tuscan setting.  Visit their website at www.manyunggallery.com.au or call 03 9787 2953

In the other direction, toward Melbourne is another wonderful place well worth a visit - the Kingston Arts Centre.  They offer something for everyone.  A rich assortment of Arts and cultural programs - why travel miles away when this is only a short drive away.  They showcase jazz, cabaret, blues, world music and exhibitions.  Also theatre, children's concerts, weekly movies and more.  Call them on 03 9556 4440 or visit http://artscentre.kingston.vic.gov.au

If your not exhausted by now - there is still more !!

You can visit the National Water Sports Centre in Carrum where they have rowing, water skiing, canoeing and many more water activities. 

You may then decide to go canoeing along the Patterson River and enjoy the Flora & Fauna along the way - If you have your own canoe bring it along or hire one nearby at "No Limits Watersports" ph: 0411 573 514

Treat the kids to a splash at Jubilee Park Swimming Centre which offers an Indoor pool (Hillcrest Rd, Frankston) or enjoy the Giant Waterslide and 50m heated outdoor pool at the Pines Forest Aquatic Centre (cnr Forest Dve & Lehman Cres, Frankston Nth).

If your legs are up to it - don't forget to go SHOPPING  -

There are the legendary "Direct Factory Outlets"  only 15mins away and well worth a visit.  If you like Colorado, Converse, Roxy, Rusty and any other brand name - then this is the place to go. All the brands and not the top of the range pricetag !!

You can also head straight up the Nepean Hwy toward the city and visit Southland Shopping Centre. A huge shopping centre with everything you need and so much more.

If you continue up the Nepean Hwy, you will go past many of Melbourne's gorgeous beaches and then visit St Kilda.  Have a ball at Luna Park - it is so much fun.  There are the St Kilda Beach Markets on a Sunday morning and go shopping along the main street - shop where the who's who of who shop !!

You will be starving after your busy day so why not visit the many restaurants in the shopping complex next door - from Indian to Chinese, Thai to Italian - I am sure you will find something you will love.
